TOY SCANDAL 'Hunny Bunny Stole My Money' -

Our completed film!

We've now presented the final version to Axis....the presentation went well and we've received some great feedback and suggestions for final tweaks, before the graduation screening in August.

It's been a great team effort and we've all advanced in our abilities....

What a fun project to be involved with.

Good job Team Scandal!

Lip Sync Previs

So we have been very busy working on the lipsync for the last few weeks. Its about maybe 80% done at this point so we added it into the previs to see how it all looked together. This previs also includes the new ending.

Guess Who Test

Elena has painted and animated some of the guess who textures so we added them to our Guess Who board to see how they looked in the scene. The animated textures work pretty well. I think its going to look really good when we get them all in.

Previs production

So our Previs is 90% done - just a couple of shots to insert...
Here we are putting some shot sequences and camera positions together , in Maya and Premiere...

Concept art

Concept art for the sitting room and He-Man (possibly on Barbie roller blades?!)

Modeling

So we are coming to the end of the modeling part of the production schedule, and will be moving into texturing and rigging this week...
All progressing well and the Previs is 90% done too...

I noticed this that there is a lot of laughter in our studio, when our team is working together...
I hope our humour will come through in our final film!

Animatic

Today we had a second skype call with Axis and they seemed really positive about our new idea. Based on their feedback we refined our animatic even further, cutting some unnecessary dialogue and characters to make the story tighter, and this is the finished result.

Next steps are to produce some concept work looking at the mood and lighting of the piece and to decide on final character designs. After that we can get started with asset production.

GoingLive.Animation&FVX2016 - Camera movements movie

Working out our camera movements....

Storyboarding and camera set ups

So today we've had another group brainstorming session.
We listened to the rough mash up audio track and created some initial ideas for storyboarding.

Rough sketch concept for the set.

When we got confused during the storyboarding process, about whether or not we were crossing the line, and which camera angles would be good and save unnecessary modelling, we recreated a mock up version of the set layout, grabbing whatever was to hand in the studio...... video cases, gloves, toys, books and folders!

Rough draft storyboards

So the Robot is the lie detector, right? And Sonic is Jeremy Kyle!!!

Gonzo, who is really a Sylvanian Family rabbit...

So, are we crossing the line??

Yes. Back to the drawing board....

Gonzo and his chocolate rabbit siblings...

A green tartan hanky in the foreground - standing in for an abusive troll....while a video cassette audience looks on bemused

Nice orange kiddy felt tip sofa. The pen....well that's just a pen.
